Keep your site updated, backed up and working
We handle updates, backups and small fixes on a regular basis, and when something breaks you know exactly who to contact.
What it solves
The form stops working or the site goes down, and the first to notice is a customer. Backups are said to exist, but nobody has ever tried restoring one. We run updates, backups and monitoring on a schedule and make the work visible to you.
Who it suits
- Businesses whose site brings in work and can't afford downtime
- Teams without anyone to look after the technical side
- Businesses that update content often and are tired of chasing someone each time
- Owners whose site was built by someone else and who need a new caretaker
What we take on
- Software and plugin updates, security patches and certificate renewals
- Testing updates on a copy before they go live
- Regular backups, with restores actually tested
- Uptime monitoring
- In-scope text, image and page updates
- A periodic summary of the work done
What you get
- An inventory of your site's current state after takeover
- Regular updates and backups
- Tested restores
- A periodic maintenance summary
How it runs
Takeover and inventory
We document your site's current state, access and any backlog, and share it in writing.
Scope and priorities
We agree what the monthly scope covers, urgency levels and how to reach us.
Routine maintenance
Updates, backups, monitoring and content changes are carried out as agreed.
Summary
At the end of each period we report what was done and which issues were closed.
What we need from you
- The necessary level of access to hosting, domain and admin panel
- Advance notice if anyone else will be working on the site
- Sending content change requests through the agreed channel
Scope and limits
- New sections, new features or redesigns aren't part of the monthly scope and are planned separately
- Hosting provider outages are outside our control, though we chase them on your behalf
- No uptime or turnaround commitment applies unless agreed in writing at the start
- Domain and hosting always stay in your name
How it is priced and run
This is an ongoing monthly service. The monthly scope, urgency levels and how to reach us are agreed in writing at the start. If you decide to stop, the site, backups and access are handed back to you with handover notes.
Frequently asked questions
Will you maintain a site you didn't build?
Yes. We start with a takeover and inventory to document the site's current state, and share any backlog and the order we'd tackle it in writing.
How quickly do you respond?
How we respond and the urgency levels are agreed in writing at the start. A site that's down isn't handled in the same queue as a text change.
Are content updates included?
Text, image and page-level updates are part of the monthly scope. New sections, features or redesigns are planned separately.
What happens if I want to stop?
The site, backups and access are yours, and we hand them over with handover notes.
